The crackling of the fire lit up the otherwise dark night at Olare Motorogi Conservancy near Masai Mara.  Sparks split through the expanse, creating some miniature fireworks. High up in the sky, the expanse of the Milky Way Galaxy spread out like a well-curated painting of diamonds on a white canvas. In the absence of mains electricity, well-placed lanterns cast soft light on the surrounding vegetation.

“This is what nature is all about. Peace and tranquility in the wild,” said Erick Sadera, speaking in a soft tone, almost to himself.
