Jessie J looked distraught as she posted a video updating fans on her singing career, which is in jeopardy since the star was struck down with an inner ear disorder in December.
In an epic Instagram post, the award-winning performer is in tears as she explains that she was asked to send a speech therapist a video of her singing something quietly, so they could hear her voice, which has been compromised following her diagnosis.
Looking sadly at the camera Jessie starts singing, her once powerhouse of a voice now a fraction of what it was.
"The first song I sang was I want love," Jessie explained. "Just hearing myself sing it and feel so vulnerable whilst singing bought me to tears.
"I have never ever to this day (since recording it) been able to sing it because of the pain I am experiencing. Man it’s been hard not singing. It’s literally my life line and my happiness. Being quiet is not something I’m good at. Or makes me feel like myself. Lord knows I’m loud."
The incredible singer told her fans that she needed to be honest with herself and them about the extent of her condition saying that it was "important to be strong enough to be weak. Especially on a platform like this".
Jessie's millions of fans rushed to her aid with one telling the star: "I actually love you! You are helping me through so much at the moment! Your lyrics give me strength."
In December, Jessie told fans that she spent Christmas Eve in hospital after she was left unable to hear or walk straight.
The singer, 32, revealed she had been diagnosed with Meniere's disease, an ear condition that can cause sudden attacks of dizzy spells, vertigo and loss of hearing.
She told her Instagram followers: "I woke up and felt like I was completely deaf in my right ear, couldn't walk in a straight line.
"Basically I got told I had Meniere's syndrome. I know that a lot of people suffer from it and I've actually had a lot of people reach out to me and give me great advice, so I've just been laying low in silence.
