DMX remains on life support and his family will make a statement later today, his manager has confirmed following speculation the rapper had died. As rumours of DMX's death broke overnight fans of the rapper quickly took to social media to express their condolences.

Several sources, including comedian Luenell, commented on the rapper's passing away, but his manager and close friend Steve Rifkind released a video to confirm the 50-year-old - whose real name is Earl Simmons - is still alive. DMX's manager who had worked with the star for the last three years confirmed he is still on life support and asked fans to stop with the rumours and "let the family relax".
