Meet Eminem's 'forgotten' daughter Alaina

Eminem adopted niece Alaina Mathers, the daughter of his ex-wife Kimberly Anne Scott sister Dawn, when she was a youngster.

Hitmaker Eminem's eldest daughter Alaina Mathers likes to keep a low profile life. The 27-year-old and her sister Whitney were adopted by Lose Yourself singer Eminem - real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III - back in the 90s. Alaina is biologically the rapper's niece as her real mum is Dawn Scott - the twin sister of Eminem's ex-wife Kimberly Anne Scott. It is reported that the singer-songwriter adopted Alaina while Kim, who later died in 2015, was undergoing treatment for drug addiction and in his music he has referenced the young woman by her nickname, Lainey. Alaina, born on May 3, 1993, grew up alongside the musician's famous daughter Hailie and speaking fondly of Alaina in 2004, Eminem told Rolling Stone: “My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much had her, she'd live with us wherever we was at."
