Wasafi TV has been handed a six month ban by the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA) for allegedly violating broadcast regulations during a recent live show. TCRA acting director Johannes Kalungule said that the offence was committed on January 1 when the station aired singer Gigy Money dancing at the Tumewasha festival while scantily dressed. Kalunge said that the move contravened broadcast regulations and that the station was ordered off air and instructed to issue a public apology.
