SpongeBob SquarePants animator Tuck Tucker has died at the age of 59, his family have confirmed. The US-based writer and animator, known for his work on SpongeBob SquarePants and Hey Arnold! passed away on December 22. His family revealed the tragic news on social media but a cause of death was not revealed.

"It is with a heavy and broken heart that the Tucker family announces the death of Tuck Tucker, father, husband, son, brother, and uncle. We know he was loved by all of those whom he met," the statement read.
