It’s hard working with Diamond- Popular WCB dancer Angel speaks

**Angel has worked with WCB artists since late 2017.**

Famed Tanzanian dancer Angel Nyigu who’s known for working with Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) artists like Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz has opened up on how it’s like working with the latter. Speaking in an interview, Angel, whose dance moves have earned her a legion of supporters said that working with the award-winning superstar is not a walk in the park. According to the dancer who’s worked with WCB since 2017, she’s always on-toes when working on a project with her boss.

“I'd say it's hard working with Diamond because I always ask myself many questions like ‘Is what I'm doing good enough?’ When you do a bad job it reflects on your reputation. I'm usually nervous when working with him. It's not that I don't believe in my work, but I must ask whether what I’m doing is up to his level. Wanasema wasiwasi ni akili,” she said.

Angel, who featured in the Cheche music video further revealed that Diamond occasionally advises her and that working with the record label has grown her career immensely.

“He's offered me pieces of advice telling me to keep up and that I'm doing a great job. WCB is progressive and you learn a lot when working with them- they’ve made me more hardworking,” she said.

Zuchu’s confession

Zuchu had similarly admitted that it was hard dancing with Diamond during the video shoot for Cheche. Zuchu confessed that she was initially hesitant due to the respect she has for Diamond, saying that it took the intervention of Diamond's manager Sallam SK to put her at ease.

“It’s so hard to dance in that manner with someone you respect. But I thank Sallam SK, he helped a lot in making me comfortable,” she said.

Zuchu’s closeness to Diamond has in the past raised eyebrows, with netizens wondering whether they are secretly dating. Rumours that they're an item were fuelled by several happenings including arriving hand in hand and dancing at Esma Platnumz’s wedding months after holding hands on the red carpet during her EP launch. Earlier on, it emerged that Zuchu was sleeping at Diamond’s palatial home prompting her mum, veteran singer Khadija Kopa to say there was no ill motive behind Diamond hosting Zuchu as it was work-related.
