Singer Benachi living the American Dream, buys new house

US-based Kenyan singer Benson Ongachi alias Benachi of Mwanake fame has a new lustrous double-storey house. The Nifinyange star, who shot to fame in 2014 courtesy of his magical collaboration with the late Peter Kaberere, just bought a board-and-batten exterior style home, a few years after relocating.

Revelling at the American dream of home-ownership, the singer who tied the knot on December 17, 2016, and welcomed a daughter- Olivia Benachi - in 2019, revealed that he was once homeless in Nairobi, Kenya. “God is good! I once slept outside when I was homeless nikisumbuka Nairobi, Just bought a brand new house for my family. A blessing from God! All the honour and glory goes to him,” he posted on his Instagram account to admiration and congratulation from his over 190,000 followers.

A post on hardship that echoed what the Lieutenant Films CEO shared 10 months ago when he flaunted a black GMC truck that he had recently purchased. “Nilitembea sana nikihustle Nairobi, kupiga root 11 ju ya kukosa bus fare. I never thought that one day I will be able to own a car. Enyewe, you don’t know about tomorrow. God is Good, God is faithful.”

A photo of the house that he shared on October 24, 2020, has since received over 4,000 likes and over two hundred comments from fans and fellow celebrities. 

Comedian Dr Ofweneke said: "Brooooooooo! So which room is mine? I am so happy for you!!." Gospel singer Kambua added: "So proud of you." A third said: "Na pia kuna siku viatu zako ziliibiwa kama umeacha nje. Yoooh. This is greatness brother! Proud of you!" Others said: "Congratulations to you and @mrsbenachi house warming soon. May God be glorified. Happy for you guys" and "Go, go, go, guys. Very happy for you guys. Victory belongs to Jesus! Overflow....."
