The only copy of Ed Sheeran’s first demo album that he does not own himself is being auctioned – and set to fetch Sh1.2million. He recorded Spinning Man in 2004 when he was 13. It features 14 songs. They are about what he once called his “soul-shattering” first break-up. He said he thinks there are 20 copies of the CD, and he owns 19.

Ed, 29, from Suffolk, added he did not want anyone else to get hold of a copy. But one of the demos has been unearthed. As a lad, Ed was staying with relatives while busking, and he handed a CD to one of their friends.
