Muranga residents in distress as maggots mysteriously come out of their skins

Scars on the skins of residents caused by the infection

Residents of a village in Muranga County are distressed after they contracted a mysterious worm infection. The locals suspect that the infection of maggots that grow from their skin is transmitted by flies.

According to reports by a local media outlet, the residents claim that when bitten by the flies, their skin gets itchy and swells. The swelling is thought to be brought about by the maturing maggots left on the skin by the flies.
