When it comes to creativity on social media on a range of issues, you have to give it up to Kenyans to deliver one hundred percent and in large numbers.
Take for instance the #WakianikaTunafunika trend which has gained momentum on Twitter that has seen photos of ‘sexy’ women getting photo shopped in a bid to cover any part of their perceived ‘nudity, cleavage or suggestive’ pose.
The skewed onslaught on the photos of ‘slay queens’ has seen several photos of the women including celebrities getting ‘redone’ or photo shopped with ‘decent’ clothes.
The trend reportedly seeks to cover any ‘suggestive’ part or pose from the ‘slay queens’ in an effort to firewall the ‘boy child’ from ‘temptations and traps.’ Really? How did we get here?
