Singer Diamond Platnumz is out of the woods after being declared free of coronavirus after 14 days in isolation.
This is after his manager Sallam SK tested positive on March 14 and raised fears that the Wasafi Classic Baby CEO and other label mates may have contracted the disease.
“Namshukuru Mwenyez Mungu tumemaliza siku 14 chini ya uangalizi maalum wa madaktari salama, na hatujakutwa na tatizo lolote la corona.... Na sasa tunaingia rasmi mtaani kwa ajili ya kuendelea kuijenga nchi yetu... Nawasihi ndugu zangu tuweni Makini sana, Maana corona ipo na inaua.. tujitahidi kufata Ushauri tunaoelekezwa na Serikali na Wizara Husika ili tuweze itokomeza na Kuishi kama zamani,”wrote the Baba Lao crooner.
Sallam SK has since made a full recovery.
“After 14 days got tested twice and both results came back negative and now am out of Isolation Centre. Thanks to Allah, Thanks to Doctors, Nurses and the government,” said Sallam SK.

Sharing that he had been released, the WCB big wig on March 31 thanked doctors that attended to him and praised fans who prayed and reached out with messages of goodwill when he was in isolation.
“Nimshukuru Allah na pia niwashukuru wote mlionitumia msg, comments, DM na dua zenu. Bila kuwasahau Temeke Isolation Centre kwa kuwa bega na bega pamoja na mie bila kunichoka pale nilipokuwa nimezidiwa, na shukurani zangu zingine ziende kwa madaktari bingwa kujua maendeleo yangu mara kwa mara na pia serikali yangu na viongozi wake husika Wizara na Mkoa walikuwa hawana ubaguzi kutujulia hali na kutupa moyo na kutupa mahitaji tutakayo,” he added.
Sallam went on to urge Tanzanians to continue observing proper hygiene and to follow the directives put in place by their government to help stop the spread of the virus.
“Naomba niwape taarifa ndugu yenu, kijana wenu nimechukuliwa vipimo mara mbili na nimekutwa negative na kwa sasa nipo huru. Ila naomba tuendelee kujikinga na kufata ushauri wa viongozi wetu na kuacha maelekezo ya utashi yasiyokuwa na uhakika. Allah is great.”
Wasafi super-producer Lizer Classic is, however, in quarantine after he tested positive.

Making the announcement a few days ago, Platnumz asked one of the health officers how much time it would take Lizer to recover.
“Kwa mfano mtu kama Lizer ambaye amekutwa yuko positive lakini anadumu tu freshy ... sasa huyo ana mpaka muda gani ndo anaweza kuhurusiwa kwenda nyumba na akiwa hana virus tena?” He probed.
In response, the official explained that numerous tests have to be taken to ensure the virus is completely out of the individual’s system before they are declared coronavirus- free and allowed to go home.
“Virusi hivi vinaisha kabisa mwili na mara nyingi unaweza kuwa unavyo na ukaambukiza wenzako hata bila kuonyesha dalili. Kwa hivyo, ndani ya hizi week mbili lazima apime mara mbili kabla ya kuruhusiwa kwenda nyumbani”.
