Popular singer, Vanessa Mdee and American based Nigerian singer cum actor Rotimi have been giving the internet serious couple goals ever since they went public with their relationship.
On Tuesday, December 31, the pair made a trip to Mdee’s home town, a move that has left their fans super excited and curious as to whether the trip was Rotimi’s introduction to her family.
Wedding bells? This could to some extent be on the works judging by the public display of affection the two have been dotting each other and treating their fans to.
Not to forget, roughly a month ago Rotimi secured himself a luxurious house in the leafy suburbs of Lagos, presumably for his future family.
In a tweet, the actor explained he gifted himself the luxurious house as a birthday gift and encouraged individuals to invest in themselves.
“As a Bday gift to myself. I bought a penthouse in one of the most prime locations in Lagos with no mortgage (Ikoyi) full-on paid for. It’s important we know the value of real estate and legacy money,” he wrote.
Love at first sight?
Before Rotimi, the songbird was in a relationship with compatriot Juma Jux for close to six years. Juma Jux moved on almost immediately with the love of his life, while Vanessa Mdee remained single and focused on her career even joining East Africa’s Got Talent as one of the judges until she laid her eyes on Rotimi.
In an interview with Millard Ayo, Mdee revealed that it took her two days to settle on the star as her soulmate.
"It took me two days…I said, 'This is my husband, I’m in love with him. I love him’," said Mdee.
Reacting to the news of her relationship with the Power actor, Jux made it known that he was extremely happy for the Kisela crooner.
“I am happy she found love in Rotimi. I was waiting for the day she will be happy. You know when it comes to love one person moves on after a breakup and one remains and so when I saw she has moved on, in all honesty, I was happy,” he said.
During their previous breakups, Jux opened up blaming himself as the reason they split as he overreacted over a harmless picture of her with American star Trey Songz.
