Award-winning Ivory Coast DJ Arafat following is dead. Dj Arafat passed away on Monday, 8am following a road accident.
According to state broadcaster RTI, DJ Arafat was riding his motorcycle when he smashed into a car.
Footage of the crash widely shared on social media shows the headlights of Dj Arafat’s motorcycle approaching an intersection just as a vehicle suddenly joins his lane, sending the superstar DJ crashing into its rear.

The 33-year-old was rushed to a hospital in Abidjan with a fractured skull where he later died.
On Monday, hundreds of fans had gathered outside the hospital where DJ Arafat was admitted weeping and chanting ‘Arafat cannot die.’
A motorcycle enthusiast, DJ Arafat had a massive following in in French-speaking African countries. Weeks ago, he was nominated to the 2019 AFRIMMA Award's 'Best Francophone' category.
Following news of Arafat’s passing, condolence messages are pouring in from entertainers across Africa.
Davido, who featured DJ Arafat in his Naughty song released in 2014 expressed disbelief at his passing writing, “Please tell me it’s not true! Not my brother! God why!”
