A group of South African funeral directors say they will sue Pastor Alph Lukau of Alleluia Ministries International, who recently claimed to have resurrected a man.
In a viral video, Lukau is seen telling a man lying in a coffin to ‘rise up’ and immediately, the man sits upright to the cheers of the congregation.
According to the funeral directors, they were manipulated by Lukau into getting involved in his ‘miracle.’
Black Phoenix, Kingdom Blue and Kings & Queens Funeral Services told the press that they were taking legal action after being manipulated by church’s representatives leading to damage to their reputation.

According to the funeral homes, "alleged family members of the deceased" approached Kings & Queens Funeral Services and told them that they had a "dispute with a different funeral service provider" and wanted to hire a hearse.
The customers also allegedly placed "Black Phoenix stickers on their private car" in a bid to look credible to Kings & Queens Funeral Services. The coffin was purchased from Kingdom Blue.
Backtracking on resurrection claim
News site The Sowetan reports that Lukau’s church has since retracted their resurrection claim saying the ‘dead’ man was ‘already alive’ when he was brought to the church.
Lukau "completed a miracle that God had already started,” the church further said.
"There are no such things as miracles," the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL Rights Commission) told South Africa's national broadcaster following the incident.
Lukau’s ‘miracle’ once more highlighted the extraordinary claims preachers make to their congregation.
Recently in Kenya, members of Dr David Owuor’s Ministry of Repentance and Holiness church claimed that ‘stairs’ to heaven were lowered during a crusade that ended on January 1, 2019 in Nakuru.
But Photoshop experts established that the images of the ‘stairs’ to heaven had been manipulated.
After the same Nakuru crusade, Dr Owuor told the crowd that President Uhuru had sent a chopper to pick him up.
“Let me go, the President of the Republic of Kenya has sent me a helicopter,” said the preacher, who holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Haifa in Israel.
State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena however refuted the preacher’s claims.
“I am not aware of any such meeting (between President Kenyatta and Owuor). And none (chopper) was sent out,” she said.
