Tanzanian crooner Ali Kiba was forced to take down his new video release Hela from YouTube after fans and foes alike expressed their displeasure with the project.
The singer came out to his own defence during an interview with EATV while revealing the reason why he took the song down only hours after uploading it.
He said, “siku yenyewe haikuwa siku yangu ambayo napenda ku-release nyimbo, ilikuwa siku ya Jumanne, so tukamwambia jamaa autoe, inatakiwa siku kama ya leo Alhamisi, ndiyo maana ulikuta umetoka kwenye YouTube, ila sasa hivi ukiingia utaikuta.”
True to his word, the song is back up on his official YouTube channel with commendable views.
Prior to Hela, the singer-turned professional footballer had not released music for a while despite his avid fans acknowledging his talent.
Kiba has released another song dubbed Mwambie Sina in collaboration with four other artistes including his blood brother Abdukiba, Cheed, K2ga and Killy.
