Once you suffer the loss of a loved one, life is never the same again.
After a doctor referred them to a hospital in Kenya for specialized treatment, Singer Juliana Kanyomozi accompanied by her ex Amon Lukwago and their son Keron Raphael flew to Nairobi on July 13th, 2014 for medical attention after Keron suffered an asthma attack.
Unable to talk as they travelled, Keron scribbled a few lines promising his parents that he was going to be ok.
“It was at that moment that I broke down and cried because I saw that he was really fighting for his life. I had hopes that he was going to be fine. Keron has been a strong boy,’’ said Lukwago at the time speaking to journalists.
“I am used to needles now. Do you know how many injections I have got and I did not feel pain not even crying,” the note by then 11-year-old Keron read.
But his young body could fight no more and he died in his father’s arms at the Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi where he had been admitted.
“He breathed his last as I held him. Before he passed away, I looked at him and he also looked in my eyes but we could not communicate. That is the time I realized that my son was going for good,” Lukwago a sound engineer and Dj narrated.
In remembrance of her late son, Julianna penned an emotional letter recalling the sweet moments she shared with Keron.
