He was pronounced dead at Nsambya Hospital after he was rushed to the health facility.

Akay's mother does not believe in the postmortem report. When asked if she knew her son was on drugs, she replied, “even if I reject, will it make a difference? Let my son rest in peace!”

His dad, Gerald Mayanja is seeking an audience with Diamond Oscar and DJ Bobby who were with AKay on the fateful night at Dejavu.

At the time of his death, he had recorded a gospel song, 'Ndimulokole', which means; 'I'm a Born Again'. It was to be premiered end of March but that has not come to pass.

Meanwhile, fans, friends and relatives turned out in huge numbers at National Theatre to pay their last respects to the talented artiste.

It is reported Radio and TV stations in Uganda on Tuesday were playing AK47's music with majority of the callers requesting for his songs.
