President Uhuru Kenyatta has indicated that Opposition leader, Raila Odinga, cannot continue holding Kenya hostage with unending conditions over how the repeat presidential election should be carried out.

Speaking in Kiambu County on Friday, President Uhuru stated that the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate does not want to go to the October 26 poll because he knows he will lose.

“Mungu ni yule yule na waKenya ni wale wale” (God is still the same and Kenyans are still the same). That is why he does not want an election,” Uhuru pointed out.

The Head of State also called on Kenyans to embrace peace before, during and after the fresh election.

He urged residents to turn out in large numbers to ensure that the Jubilee Party emerges victorious.

The Jubilee presidential candidate had earlier (Friday) attended the funeral of former Nairobi Mayor Samuel Mbugua Wainaina, father of Rachel Shebesh, the former Nairobi Woman Representative.
