Longhorn Kenya Ltd got listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange by introduction in May 2012, making it the first publishing house in the region to achieve this feat.
The company achieved ISO 9001:2008 Certification, making it the first non-parastatal company in the region to be certified.
To attain certification, Longhorn had to successfully implement a Quality Management System that was audited by SGS Kenya, proving their bid to embrace best practices for business efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ISO 9001:2008 certification status is only awarded to companies that achieve customer satisfaction through consistent quality products and services.

Longhorn has well researched comprehensive primary school course books which are on the Ministry of Education’s list of approved textbooks for Kenya. They include: Kiswahili Mufti, Understanding Mathematics, God and Us-C.R.E, Essential English Workbooks,Longhorn Reading Scheme, Msingi wa Kiswahili, Comprehensive Social Studies, Keynote Primary English and Understanding Science.
Lately, Longhorn have acquired and revamped the popular Improve Your Series by Malkiat Singh.
