A section of Ukambani leaders have came out to defend Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka against attacks by three governors.

The leaders who are from the lower eastern region, accused governors Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni), Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Alfred Mutua of Machakos of being dishonest to their people.

Speaking at Mlolongo in Athi River, Mavoko MP Patrick Makau, Gideon Mulyungi (Mwingi), Musili Mawathe (Embakasi), Joshua Mbithi (Masinga) and Kitui Senator Enock Wambua, accused the governors of undermining the former Vice President’s leadership.

“These three governors have launched a war against our leader and we won’t take that lightly, in fact we will face them head on and stop them,” said Makau.

He said any political bloc in Kenya has its own leader and wondered why the governors were planning to block Kalonzo who is the most senior Ukambani politician currently.
