By Joseph Muchiri | January 4th 2017

A senior administrator in Embu has announced plans to join hands with Runyenjes MP Cecily Mbarire for the governor's seat. Henry Nthiga, the Mbeere South sub-county administrator, wants to be Ms Mbarire's running mate against his boss, Governor Martin Wambora.

Nthiga made the announcement at Kirima village, Mbeti South ward where he told locals that it was important for them to be in the next Government by having one of their own as the deputy governor.

He said having been at the helm of coordinating and supervising development matters in the sub-county, he was well aware of the projects being implemented by the county government and had the experience to take over.

Mbarire has not yet announced her running mate and neither has Wambora.
