Mavoko MP Patrick Makau’s father John King’ola is dead. Mr King’ola passed on at the Nairobi West Hospital where he was rushed on Monday, hours after his son was arraigned before a Machakos Court and charged with arson.
The lawmaker told The Standard that his father died at about 8am Tuesday. The legislator said his father got concerned after hearing that Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet had ordered his arrest in connection with the burning of the Syokimau AP camp.
“My father collapsed as he watched television in his house at Ngoleni when he heard the police chief order my immediate arrest in connection with the Wednesday fire incident,” Mr Makau said.
