Teenager gets reply to her letter to heaven written at her father’s grave

Oklahoma, USA: A teenage girl mourning the loss of her father to pancreatic cancer has 'found peace' thanks to a miraculous event on Father's Day.

On the first Father's Day since John Seibold died, his widow Sandy and teenage daughter Saige decided to release a '#1 Dad' balloon and handwritten letter at his grave in Oklahoma, USA.

The letter read: "This is this 13-year-old girl's first Father's Day without her dad. He passed away May 13, 2015 from pancreatic cancer.

"If you receive this please make her day by sending a response telling her who and where you are from. Thank you in advance!"

Sandy told NBC: "We thought the idea of the balloon, sending the balloon to heaven to her dad, was a good idea."

After a few hours of running errands, the mum and daughter arrived back at their home, 25 miles away from John's grave.

Saige walked down to a pasture where she often goes to think since the death of her father - only to find her balloon and message tangled in the fence. It had flown straight home.

Sandy said: "I think we started crying because it was just like it was a message from him.

"It has given us a lot of peace and, you know, just feeling good about where he's at."
