Pastor 'turn petrol into pineapple juice' then let his congregation drink it

Pretoria: The controversial pastor, who shot to fame after allowing members of his church to eat grass, has now pulled an even more dangerous stunt.

Lesego Daniel claimed he could turn petrol into pineapple juice which he then gave to his congregation.

At one of his services at Rabboni Center Ministries in Pretoria, he demonstrated his "miraculous" power by having a church member pour petrol into a basin and set it alight - proving it was flammable.

On a YouTube video uploaded this week it shows him then encouraging the first participant to sip the liquid.

The footage, which starts with a cautionary note warning viewers not to try this if they can't turn water into wine, then shows other members dancing and frantically rushing to drink the 'juice' the pastor claims tastes sweet like pineapple and Iron Brew.

The first willing taster said: "It has a lot of fumes but I don't have any side effects."

According to health experts the petrol is dangerous if consumed as it is poisonous and can be very harmful.

If swallowed, it can also lead to dizziness, a feeling of being drunk, extreme fatigue and can lead to unconsciousness.

It can also cause lung problems and can cause damage to the lining of the throat.

Some symptoms seem to be displayed by some of the congregation in the video.
