A 61-year-old IT worker appeared in court on Wednesday morning accused of trying to have sex with a sheep outside Tottenham's Enfield training centre.

According to Daily Mail, the state-of-the-art facilities are based on a 77-acre site in north London and Paul Lovell was caught with the animal close to the club's grounds on September 4, two days after Gareth Bale completed his move to Real Madrid.

Andre Villas-Boas lead a Spurs training session on the day of the incident which was heard at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court.

Lovell denied one charge of indecent exposure and another of 'namely trying to commit a sexual act with a sheep and trying to encourage a sheep to perform a sexual act on you'.

The defendent will now be tried by jury and has been released on bail with conditions.

Lovell will face a case management hearing and plea at Wood Green Court on October 2.

There are 15 grass pitches on the Enfield site including four dedicated solely for first team use.

The facility also includes a swimming pool, altitude room, rehabilitation suites and a hydrotherapy complex.
