There has been a worrying decline in the agriculture sector over the years. This is the main reason our country is experiencing a high cost of living.

Agriculture is the backbone of the economy and contributes approximately 33 per cent of Kenya's Gross Domestic Product, with more than 40 per cent of the population employed in this sector.
