On October 12, the DPP withdrew a Sh19 million graft case against Aisha Jumwa, now the Cabinet Secretary in charge of Public Service and Gender. The case is in relation to alleged misappropriation of CDF funds. On the same day, the DPP also dropped charges against former Kenya Power Managing Director Ben Chum and 10 others. Perhaps the most notable case set to be terminated is the Sh7.3 billion corruption case against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and nine others.
