Ashley Young has been offered a deal by Inter Milan with his current Manchester United deal up this summer.

Inter want to sign him now but would be willing to wait until the end of the season to get him for nothing.

But Sky Sports reports he has been offered a one-year extension by United.

However, according to Sky in Italy, the 34 year–old has turned down the offer and is pushing for a move to Inter Milan.

The Manchester United captain is free to discuss terms with clubs outside of England after entering the final months of the current deal at Old Trafford.

And BBC Sport claims that the defender will complete a move to Serie A to link up with Antonio Conte at the end of the current campaign.

According to the publication, the former England international could make the move during the current transfer window - if the Red Devils allow him to.

However, United are yet to agree to an immediate switch this month, with the Premier League club thought to be keen on securing a replacement before doing business.

Completing a move to Inter would see Young follow in the footsteps of strikers Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, who both joined the Serie A club in the summer.

He joined United from Aston Villa in 2011 for a fee of around £17m and has gone on to make 261 appearances for the Red Devils.

During his time with the club, the former Watford man has won the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and Europa League.

The winger turned full-back has featured in just 18 games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side this season and was left out of the squad for the Carabao Cup semi-final against Manchester City on Tuesday.
