Traders at Nakuru Wholesale market have cried foul over delayed rehabilitation works despite Sh20 million allocation by the county government in the 2018/2019 budget.

The allocation had been set aside for tarmacking of the market whose floor remains bare and dusty after it was excavated last year and machinery later removed from the site except a few which are idle.

Led by Jane Nyanjoka, traders said the poor state of the market has affected quality of supplies.

“We have been left in an environment not favourable to deal with fresh farm products,” she said.
