In a month that saw Deputy President William Ruto graduate with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in plant ecology from the University of Nairobi, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) also conferred doctorates degrees to President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in recognition of their effort to foster peace through their historic handshake.
The two received honorary doctorates during their joint tour of Nyanza region two weeks ago. Dr William Ruto took approximately six years to complete his journey which culminated last week Friday.
