County executives who fail to perform will be sent packing, Governor Hassan Ali Joho has warned.

Mr Joho told the new executives to solve the problems affecting Mombasa residents.

“You shall be held accountable and we expect efficiency and transparency in your docket,” he said.

The governor was speaking during the swearing-in of three executives who had yet to take office.

“If you fail to deliver services it means you are failing the people of Mombasa and that means you will go home,” continued Joho.

Those who took the oath of office are Hassan Bakari Mwamtoa (Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries), Fauz Ali Rashid (Trade Tourism and Investment), and Seth Odongo (Devolution and Public Services).

Joho said he is ready to work with everyone, including those he competed with for the seat "since the elections are long gone".
