We need to vote in the next general elections says prisoners

Prisoners in Manyani correctional center have raised concern over not acquiring their IDs on time to register as voters in the second mass registration set to begin on 16th of this month by IEBC.

Addressing the Vice chairman of the council of Governors, Eng. John Mruttu expressed the prisoners worry saying they might not receive their IDs before the 13 days elapse. "Last year we petitioned Voi high court, miscellaneous application number 10/2016, to be allowed to vote, the court conceded and officials sent over relevant forms to be filled but we are yet to receive our IDs," said Thomas Movara an inmate serving life sentence.
