Why Mudavadi should not be part of CORD

There has been talk that Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi may join CORD ahead of 2017 elections.

While this is not impossible, such a move could complicate things for him and CORD leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetang’ula.

To start with, both the ruling coalition Jubilee and the opposition have been going through hard times. Jubilee’s move to dissolve its affiliates and form one party did not go down well with some people who opted to keep their parties intact.
