Alan Wadi, the student who was convicted for inflammatory Facebook post targeting the president, vows to continue ‘fighting’

His life came to a stop when he was convicted of hate speech for an inflammatory Facebook post targeting the president and sentenced to two years in prison. He served six months in prison. Well, Alan Wadi recently graduated from Eldoret University with a degree in political science.

He feels he owes Moi University a debt of gratitude for allowing him to continue with his studies. “I am overwhelmed at this achievement,” he said during a celebratory dinner hosted by his friends. He added: “I have no regrets about anything that happened. It was all God’s plan.”
