Maseno University bus was on Saturday attacked by locals in Muga,Vihiga County at around 7pm.The locals, mainly the youth, who were said to be performing their tribal rituals in preparation for their annual circumcision ceremony, blocked the road and stoned the bus smashing several windows.
The bus which had at least fifteen students and a university official was on its way to the Main campus when the incident happened. The driver reported the matter at Muhdete Police Station and the security officers in conjunction with the locals cooperated promptly and managed to apprehend six suspects.
