Love, or the idea of it, has proven to be a costly affair in campuses in general and Moi University in particular. Cases of lovebirds picking up the knife and stabbing their partners over cheating claims have become the norm rather than the exception.
Most recently, Wednesday March 23rd 2016, a first year male student at Moi University (Eldoret Town Campus) identified as Dickson Sirengo stabbed to death a fourth year male student, Steve Wairimu, eight times in the chest. At the heart of the matter, no pun intended, is Faith Bwire, a first year student who apparently was in an affair with both gentlemen. Dickson was later detained by the police in Langas police station.
