As we await Monday's demos and teargassing

The Monday demonstrations by Kenya’s Opposition keep reminding me of the period prior to 2007 election. The heat was gradual then and we did not anticipate things would go haywire after the presidential elections. We were caught in slumber and everything turned bloody.

Post 2007 elections’ period was an unfortunate, deadliest and most dreadful moment for Kenyans as the world watched in amazement as we maimed and massacred our neighbours, friends and equally our foes. For some, it was an opportune moment to enjoy international media coverage as they made ruthless and unruly incitements.
