Machakos CORD leaders have vowed to continue with anti-IEBC demonstrations to evict commissioners from office.

Addressing journalists at her office on Wednesday, Machakos women representative Dr. Susan Musyoka said they do not have confidence that the IEBC will conduct fair elections come 2017.

“We are pushing for reforms and also we are agitating that we have an IEBC that people have confidence in,” she said.

She added that CORD needs assurance that 2017 general elections will be fair and satisfactory to all stakeholders and the people of Kenya.

“We do not need post elections like we saw in 2007 and that is why CORD is agitating now before the elections are held and since there is already evidence that Jubilee government is claiming to have won,” she added.

Musyoka said that they hope a dialogue will be held with jubilee government and that reforms will take place in the IEBC.

“Come Monday if there is nothing will have been done we are going to storm Machakos IEBC office. We are ready to protest and to demand for reforms that we need in Kenya,” she said.
