Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki has told off the Opposition over its continued criticism of the Government.

The Opposition has in the recent past been hitting hard on the Jubilee administration over its development agenda, affiliate party merger and alleged plans to rig the 2017 General Election.

The Tharaka Nithi senator said the Opposition is sensing defeat since the Jubilee government had raided its strongholds.

He asked CORD to desist from divisive politics and instead wait until 2017. He added that Opposition leader Raila Odinga comes through as seeking to blackmail the President and his deputy.

"We are confident that we shall win the election with a bigger margin because dismantling affiliate parties and forming one strong party would be a solution to ending politics of tribalism in the country," he said.

Kindiki was speaking at Chuka/Igambang'ombe constituency during the burial of Nancy Mbungu, a cousin of area MP Muthomi Njuki on Saturday.
