Kabarak University gets new deputy Vice-Chancellor, Admin and Finance

Moi High School Kabarak Chief Principal Henry Kiplangat has been appointed as Kabarak University deputy Vice Chancellor Administration and Finance.

Mr Kiplangat is a diligent leader known for bringing out the best in those around him. For the past two years, Kabarak High School has posted exemplary results emerging top in the country in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with 214 students scoring As and A- in last year’s results.

Former President Daniel arap Moi, who is the university’s Chancellor and founder said he has known Kiplangat for over 24 years.

“I have worked closely with Mr Kiplangat since 1990 and I have been impressed with his diligence and faithfulness in all his leadership responsibilities,” said Moi, adding Kiplangat began his association with Kabarak University since its inception.

Moi said Kiplangat’s Christian commitment and his forthcoming doctorate degree in educational administration and planning gives him the confidence that Kiplangat can serve in the leadership position at Kabarak University.

“My heart’s desire is to see Kabarak remain true to her founding vision and mission of providing education in biblical perspective. As the founder and chancellor, this is the vision I saw for Kabarak University and it is the same vision which should be retained,” Moi said.

The University Vice Chancellor Reverend Prof Jones Kaleli warmly welcomed Kiplangat whom he described as an astute administrator, manager, teacher and man of God who steered MHSK to greater heights.

Prof Kaleli also thanked Moi for his support and mentorship that has seen Kabarak remained focused and achieve its goals and objectives.

“We produce graduates who are not only competent in their areas of specialty but are of high moral standing and integrity.” Mr Kiplangat, in his speech, encouraged students to build good character in university. “It gives me great pleasure to join the Kabarak University community as the deputy Vice Chancellor,” he said during his welcoming luncheon.

The holder of MA in Education from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom, urged the students to follow their passion and to be innovative.
