Two weeks ago, a deadly landslide hit three wards of Weiwei, Tapach, and Parua in West Pokot. More than 50 people lost their lives, with recovery efforts still ongoing. Reports indicate that over 10,000 people are fighting extremely low temperatures in temporary shelters in schools and churches, as the county administration appeals for support from the national government and humanitarian organisations.
