TransCentury rises 20 pct on bourse debut

NAIROBI, July 14 - Kenyan investment firm TransCentury's shares debuted on the Nairobi Stock Exchange at Sh60 on Thursday, up 20 percent from it's listing price of Sh50.

At 0658 GMT, close to half an hour into trade, its shares were trading at 55.98 shillings.

The firm has invested in Kenyan cables manufacturer East African Cables , a transformer manufacturer in Tanzania, Rift Valley Railways and engineering firm Avery East Africa among other investments.
