Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) is this year’s winner of the African Infrastructure Regulator of the Year Award.

Africa Investor, a South African-based specialist investment communications group declared CCK the winner at a ceremony attended by venture capitalists, developers and infrastructure experts and policy makers in Cape Town.

The CCK beat its counterparts in Nigeria (Nigeria Communications Commission) and South Africa (Independent Communications Authority of South Africa).

CCK Director General Charles Njoroge attributed the recognition to the Commission’s policy of consultations before making major decisions that affect the industry.

"We are delighted with the award, which shows that our efforts to promote an excellent investment climate in communications industry are being noted as progressive."
