A woman linked to the death of a Dutch tycoon said to have been killed at his home in Shanzu, Mombasa County, on June 4, has agreed to enter a plea bargain.

Ms Mary Nekesa Ambani was presented before court on Monday, but was not charged after the police asked for more time to conclude investigations.

The court heard Ambani worked for Ms Riziki Cherono, the wife of slain tycoon Herman Rouwenhorst's. Ambani and Cherono are said to be close friends.

Ambani faces murder charges following the death of Rouwenhorst and a security guard, Evans Pole Bokoro.

Also facing the same charges is Timothy Omondi Bgowe alias Rashid alias Tony Ochieng alias Mohamed Khalid.

Prosecution asked that Ambani be remanded at Malindi Women Prisons for the time being.
