Cristiano Ronaldo's Champions League debut for Juventus ended in heartbreak as he was dismissed against Valencia.

The Portuguese superstar clashed with Jeison Murillo during the first half at the Mestalla and was shown a straight red by referee Felix Brych.

Replays showed the pair came together off the ball before Ronaldo seemingly pulled the defender's hair as he sat on the ground.

Ronaldo was reduced to tears as he made his way off the pitch and he could now miss a reunion with Manchester United.

The dismissal was the 11th of Ronaldo's career and first since he saw red for Real Madrid against Cordoba in January 2015 after kicking out and slapping Edimar.

But plenty believe there should have been many more since then.

In fact, Mundo Deportivo have detailed a list of TWENTY ONE offences that Ronaldo could/should have been dismissed for in the last three-and-a-half years.

Among those listed are an alleged elbow on Dani Alves during el Clasico and a punch in the back of former Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke.

The 'offences' listed are dated from October 2015 with his World Cup star with Iran defender Morteza Pouraliganji making the cut.

His clash with Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen during last season's Champions League is also included - as is a separate incident involving Alves during the win over PSG.

Brych was also the man in the middle on that occasion but decided not to dismiss the Portugal star.
