DT Dobie gets boost as Chinese firm buys 81 vehicles

China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) has bought 81 vehicles from auto firm DT Dobie.

The firm sells and services Mercedes Benz cars and trucks, Volkswagens (VW) and Jeeps while CRBC is constructing the 609km standard gauge railway between Mombasa and Nairobi to be completed by 2017.

CRBC Manager for Plant and Engineering Zhang Yongbo received the vehicles from DT Dobie Managing Director Zarak Khan.

The vent event  attended by Rocky Ho of the Corporation, DT Dobie Director Sales and Marketing Director Philippe Delunsch and VW Brand Manager Usha Nagpal.

Recently, Volkswagen selected DT Dobie as a distributor for VW cars, SUVs, pick-ups and vans in Kenya. The auto firm is already stocking Touareg and Tiguan SUVs and Amarok double cab pick-ups.  -Nanjinia Wamuswa
