Meet Captain Kinuthia, the 65-year old pilot to steer KQ's maiden flight to US

Captain in charge of the maiden Kenya Airways Flight to New York Joseph Kinuthia talks to Chams Media Founder and Independent content producer for KTN Alex Chamwada at his Runda residence in Nairobi.

At approximately 1:30pm today, Captain Joseph Kinuthia will fly into the history books when he lands a Kenya Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner at the John F Kennedy Airport.

Kinuthia will have led a team of three other pilots and 12 flight attendants in KQ’s first non-stop flight from Nairobi to New York, marking a major milestone in the airline’s aviation history.
