Kenya is taking the necessary steps to attract investors to Naivasha to take advantage of its geothermal energy.

Trade Cabinet Secretary Adan Mohamed (pictured) was speaking during a visit to the KenGen Olkaria Industrial Park to assess the options available for textile mills that utilise steam in fabric production.

“Kenya imports nearly $200 million (Sh20.5 billion)] worth of fabric that is converted to garments in the majority of the Export Processing Zones, and the Government is working to this reverse this trend with renewed focus on the apparel sector,” he said.
