Shollei appointed Chief Registrar

Chief Justice Willy Mutunga has sworn in Gladys Boss Shollei as the Chief Registrar of the judiciary and named 28 new judges.

The CJ swore in Shollei to the new position created by the New Constitution on Monday.

Until her appointment, Shollei was the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer at the Interim Independent Electoral Commission (IIEC).

The Chief Registrar position replaces that of the High Court Registrar that was occupied by Lydia Achode.

Shollei holds a Bachelors degree in law, a Masters degree in the same field and another master’s degree in management.

She had applied for the post of deputy Chief Justice and High Court judge.
